To begin a drawing, the following information is required:• Job quote• Architectural door schedule• AutoCAD files (.dwg.)• Sketches or an email laying out the job scopeShop drawings are tailored to the individual needs of the company. They provide clear explanations for your customers detailing the materials and products you provide while laying out each party's responsibility.When requesting drawings that need door locations on expansive floor plans, please also send the floor plans in AutoCAD format (.dwg.) or High-Resolution pdf files from the Architect or General Contractor.
Drawings are typically received within 5-7 business days, though lead times may vary depending on current workload.
All drawings are created using the latest version of AutoCAD. The standard printable size of shop drawings is 11” x 17”. Options are also available for drawings on 8.5” x 11” or 36” x 24”. Requests for drawing sizes outside of the standard 11” x 17” must be made at the time of the drawing request. Your drawings will also include custom title blocks featuring your company’s logo and contact information.
All drawings are delivered digitally as high resolution (600 dpi) pdf files.
